Our workshops
Action for Conservation runs an exciting secondary school programme called WildED for students in years 8, 9 and/or 10 to learn about the importance of conservation whilst taking action on the environmental issues they are most passionate about. WildED consists of 3x formal workshops and student-led activities coordinated by our team of young environmentalists over the course of a school term. Students design and deliver their own environmental action projects and drive real change in their community.
Our Volunteers
Volunteers will facilitate workshops, provide support and guidance for students' environmental action projects and inspire young people with their experience and expertise. We want to challenge the idea of a ‘traditional’ conservationist so volunteers from all backgrounds and walks of life are very welcome.
Volunteers are also welcome to join us for our summer residential camps for young people based in national parks across England and Wales.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for young professionals with an environmental background or interest to join our team of volunteer workshop leaders and support the delivery of the WildED programme across Bristol and the South West of England. We are looking for volunteers to share their passion for wildlife and conservation with our secondary school students.
