We’re excited to invite you to a relaxed and welcoming creative drop-in session as part of the Bristol Community Festival, co-hosted by BDEF (Bristol Disability Equality Forum) and local Disabled artist Oliver Woods. This free event is a space for Disabled people to connect, create, reflect, and express themselves through art and storytelling. There will be a range of creative activities and materials to explore, including collage, painting, clay, drawing, poetry, and creative writing.
No previous creative experience is needed — you are welcome to take part in whatever way feels comfortable for you.
The session is flexible and informal, with space to settle in, have a drink and some food, meet others, and explore different creative prompts at your own pace. Themes throughout the session will include identity, creativity, community, joy, access, and collective experiences.
Who is it for? This event is open to all Disabled people and Allies. Whether you identify as Disabled, neurodivergent, chronically ill, Deaf, or experience a mental health condition, you are very welcome to join us.
