Hi there!
Les Bubb is a mime artist with a career spanning over 40 year. He's worked in Hollywood (including on-set with the Harry Potter cast), in the music business (on tour with Take That), had his own TV show (anyone remember Hubbub?) and has performed and taught internationally.
We're creating a digital archive of his professional life and we are looking for someone who enjoy research and organisation to help us.
It comes in four parts:
- Speaking with Les to gather a timeline of his career
- Creating a filing structure (likely using Google Sheets and Google Drive)
- Resarching Les' online footprint, recording links and making copies of internet pages
- Scanning hard copy archive materials (eg photographs) into a digital format
The latter part of the role can only be undertaken when the government allows mixing indoors, provisionally 17th May. This will be based in Bishopston so you must be able to travel there at least once, we will pay expenses, agreed before the role starts.
This is a flexible role that can be fitted in around other commitments and the first parts conducted from your own home. If you don't have access to a computer or the internet, we can organise another way for you to take part.
You need to have, or be keen to develop, strong organisational skills.
You will need to be confident using computers and the internet, and be extremely reliable because some of the hardcopy material may not exist anywhere else! We may ask for references.
