The vision of Bristol Local Food Fund (BLFF) is for every person in Bristol to be able access affordable, good quality food regardless of their situation.

BLFF will tackle food insecurity and inequality in Bristol by awarding grants and support to community food projects that help people and communities, particularly those that work in areas or support communities that experience the most severe food insecurity.

BLFF recognises that structural inequalities - economic, ethnicity, ability, age, geography play a major role in creating and sustaining disadvantage. BLFF aims to support genuine diversity, equity and inclusion in all its work. We will be honest and open where the project falls short and make efforts to improve.

We very much welcome applications from all backgrounds and life experiences, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, sex, education, or physical ability.

The Bristol Local Food Fund (BLFF) is a new city-wide fund launching in 2021. The vision of BLFF is of a city where everyone can access good quality, affordable food, regardless of their background or situation.

The project is working in collaboration with stakeholders and partners across the city to raise consistent funds and will prioritise diversity, equity and inclusion. Grants will be awarded through a process of participatory grant-making, where people that the fund aims to help will make many of the decisions about how the grant funding process is designed, and how grants are awarded. This process will be led by a diverse and representative Advisory Panel of people from across our city, with lived experience of food insecurity, who will be paid for their expertise and time.
