COVID-19 Delivery Volunteer
Brigstowe is looking for someone who can help us deliver items to our clients during the COVID-19 situation. Commitment:
- 4 hours a week (volunteer can choose which day, Mon-Fri, is best for them) between the hours of 9am-7pm (again depending on what is best for the volunteer)
- A minimum commitment of two months, ideally three, is required
*Please note this role will be ad hoc & you may not be required every week. We will inform you at the start of the week to let you know if there are items needed to be delivered.
Start Date: June 2020 (ASAP)
Tasks and Duties:
- To pick up items from Brigstowe’s office at Easton Community Centre & deliver them to our support clients. Items will include laptops, smart phones, cash & post.
- To update and report to supervisor
- To maintain confidentiality at all times
- To follow health and safety procedures
- To adhere to Brigstowe’s other policies and procedures
Skills and Experience:
- Good communication skills
- To have access to a mobile phone when volunteering
- To have a UK driving license or a license from abroad which permits you to drive in the UK within the last 12 months
- To have access to a car when volunteering
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good time management
- To have an enhanced DBS (within 3 years)
Training & Support Provided:
- PPE will be provided (I.e. masks)
- Induction to Brigstowe, our services and values
- Training in the necessary policies and procedures for this role (i.e. Health and Safety, Confidentiality & Safeguarding)
- Regular support and check ins
- All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed
