Your Park Bristol & Bath is looking for corporate partners to help make Eastville Park one of Bristol’s leading examples of accessible, inclusive green space.
Disabled people and unpaid carers from across Bristol have chosen Eastville Park as the next park to receive a full access assessment and accessibility improvements. The project is supported by significant Community Infrastructure Levy funding announced by Bristol City Council and we are working with Bristol City Council, Bristol Disability Equality Forum, Carers Support Centre, Friends of Eastville Park, local people and the Heritage Lottery Fund to shape the project from the start.
Eastville Park was chosen by 38 Disabled people and unpaid carers, who considered accessibility, potential impact and community value across five shortlisted parks. Participants highlighted Eastville Park’s good transport links, existing facilities, some accessible routes, varied landscape, quieter spaces, sensory opportunities, strong community activity and links to Frome Valley and Snuff Mills.
We are now seeking corporate partners who can help bring the access plan to life and add value to the public investment already committed.
Corporate partnership support could help fund or provide:
- accessible seating and rest points
clear signs, maps and wayfinding
accessible visitor information
support for Disabled people and unpaid carers to take part in engagement
nature-rich accessibility improvements
sensory planting and quiet spaces
materials, plants, tools or equipment
professional support from construction, engineering, design, landscape, digital, access or project management teams
staff volunteering to support practical park improvements
This is a highly visible corporate partnership opportunity for businesses that want to support disability inclusion, access to nature, community wellbeing, biodiversity and social value in Bristol.
