Local food production has never been more important.

Bristol Parks Service are reaching out to community food growing groups to donate the produce which would have been sold to the public from Blaise Nursery.

We want to reach groups in communities across the city and help exisiting food growing groups to thrive during the Covid19 pandemic.

These must not be in publicly accessible parks - seperate growing project spaces only, in order to ensure growing projects do not contravene social distancing guidelines.

If you represent a local food growing group and could make use of some of the following, please get in touch and we will arrange plants to be dropped off to you thorugh our dedicated Parks Staff and volunteers.

Send us a message with details of the group you represent, how many of the below you could successfully grow in your community space, and where we can drop them off.

  • 1,300 Tomatoes
  • 40 Sweetcorn
  • 50 Pumpkin
  • 70 Beetroot
  • 80 Courgettes
  • 375 Sweet Peppers
  • 525 Chilli Peppers
  • 130 Cucumbers
  • 120 Celery
  • 120 Swiss Chard
  • 60 Aubergine
  • 600 Carrots (120 x strips of 5)
  • 300 Parsnips (60 x strips of 5)
  •
  • 360 Cabbage (packs of 6)
  • 150 Brussel Sprouts (packs of 6)
  • 150 Lettuce (packs of 6) (quite advanced)
  •
  • Onion Sets (lots)

If you need additional support to get these plants growing, we will do our best to help. We may be able to offer some compost if you are unable to source your own.

This produce is being donated with the intention of reaching communities in need across all of Bristol, so please only request what you can use.
