About Us

Hartcliffe Coderz is a small, yet ambitious resident-led team. We believe that everyone deserves access to opportunities, regardless of their background or postcode. By offering free and accessible coding training to young people, we aim to broaden their horizons and provide positive alternatives to anti-social behaviour.

In 2023, we collaborated with Bristol City Council to deliver two pilot summer coding camps. The overwhelming community response underscored the urgent need for our work in Hartcliffe and the surrounding areas. We are committed to continuing to empower young people and fostering positive peer connections, which in turn strengthens community resilience. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where every young person feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential.

About You

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help us deliver long-term coding drop-in sessions. These sessions offer free, continuous, and reliable access to coding education. Your involvement will directly contribute to community resilience and improved social connections.

Why Volunteer with Us?

  • Make a Real Impact: Help young people gain valuable skills and open doors to future opportunities in technology.
  • Community Building: Join a team that promotes community cohesion and resilience, making South Bristol a better place for everyone.
  • Personal Growth: Gain rewarding experiences, develop new skills, and build meaningful connections with fellow volunteers and community members.
  • Inclusive Environment: Be part of an organisation that values diversity and inclusivity, creating a supportive and welcoming space for all.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

We ensure our activities are accessible and inclusive. Our venues are equipped with necessary facilities, and we support children with learning difficulties and those from diverse backgrounds. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and included.
