Location: Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol
Days/times: Thursdays, 10:30–12:30, term time only, from September 2026 onwards
About the role: This is an exciting opportunity to join our digital project, supporting people aged 55 and over in the Westbury-on-Trym community. You will help people use smartphones, tablets and laptops to access the internet and learn basic IT skills.
Who are we looking for? Anyone aged 18 or over — including students and peers — who can spare two hours per week to help older people get online and develop their digital skills and confidence.

· Full training, plus regular support and supervision

Experience and skills:
● Confidence using IT and the internet, including email, comparison sites, online form-filling and social media
● Good communication skills and a helpful, open manner
● A willingness to work with people of different ages and varying abilities
● Reliability and commitment
● An interest in researching relevant websites and apps that may be useful to clients
Tasks and responsibilities:
● To welcome people to the drop-in and create a friendly, supportive environment
● To help people feel confident using smartphones, tablets and laptops, and accessing the internet, by providing support that meets their learning needs
● To identify and signpost clients to new, useful and secure online learning tools
● To work as an effective member of the Click and Connect team, giving and receiving support and working co-operatively
● To keep accurate records of the work undertaken
● To adhere to W-o-T Methodist Church volunteering policy
● To attend any training
