We are looking for a volunteer to support a gentleman living in one of our mental health services in Filton. He enjoys chess, board games, fishing, and spending time out in the community. The role focuses on offering companionship and engaging in activities he enjoys. This can take place weekly, fortnightly, or once a month, with flexibility to suit your availability.
We’re looking for someone who is friendly, patient, and happy to spend time building a positive, supportive connection. An interest in chess, games, or outdoor activities would be ideal, but the most important quality is a warm and engaging approach.
Full training and guidance will be provided by the service.
As with all our volunteer roles, a DBS check will be required, and we will request two references. Volunteers will also need to complete our online or in‑person training before starting their role. Ongoing support will be available from both the volunteer team and a designated member of staff within the service.
