Cognitive Paths operates hub and spoke model or zero equity investor model – in that we work with grass root initiatives that require additional capacity and administrative support to scale. Our aim is to improve the trading ability, market value and social impact micro business provides in the local economy.
We use a range of systems to manage the capacity of our projects (allocating them onto projects, tracking their utilization, forecasting gaps, etc) but they are rather basic (often Excel charts) and require manual input to move data from one system to another.
This approach to resource management means that our delivery teams often feel over-stretched while development teams are often frustrated with a lack of available capacity to ‘sell’ new projects and achieve their targets.
We need help to design a capacity planning and resource management system – something that would enable us to:
- Allocate team members to projects
- Forecast and manage capacity squeezes
- Analyse utilization
- Identify capacity gaps in the calendar when new projects can be delivered
- Reconcile project budgets against time spent / team costs
Ideally someone who has worked in a resource management function at an agency or consultancy.
Someone who has experience/knowledge of resource management systems (software).
