Who are we?

BTC is a young, dynamic mental health service working with marginalised communities in Bristol, set up in 2021 by 2 friends passionate about the social potential of traditional, nature-based crafts. Our mission is to use these crafts as a vehicle for ongoing support to those battling social isolation & mental health struggles. We run regular free-to-access programmes for beneficiary groups to grow in confidence, health & agency by undergoing shared creative processes in nature. Our work is delivered in partnerships with local organisations, through which we’ve established craft as a highly effective mental health intervention & springboard for other forms of support. Our outcomes:

  1. Combatting social isolation, 2. Tackling poor mental health, 3. Supporting environmental stewardship.
