We're looking for volunteers from the African, Bangladeshi, Caribbean, Chinese, Indian, Pakistani and Somali communities in Bristol to help people in their local community learn about diabetes, who might get it, how to avoid Type 2 diabetes, and how to live better with diabetes.

Diabetes is a serious and complicated condition that affects over 4 million people across the UK. Diabetes is more likely to affect people from many diverse communities, and at a younger age. We need you to help us to connect with people to:

  • Help people in your local community understand what diabetes is, who might get it, and the problems it can cause.
  • Help people learn how to live better with diabetes
  • Tell people where they can get help, and how Diabetes UK can help them
  • Organise events where people can think about what help they need with Diabetes

Contact us on South.West@diabetes.org.uk or visit https://volunteer.diabetes.org.uk/opportunities  to find out more and apply!
