About the role

We're looking for enthusiastic and committed people to join our fantastic bakery team so we can support more young people with learning disabilities into and towards employment.

Our volunteers work alongside young people (trainees) and staff to prepare, bake and pack our flatbreads whilst maintaining our high production standards. Volunteers encourage and enable trainees to:

• Participate safely and enjoy their learning
• Build confidence, skills and independence and engage in teamwork
• Record and track their progress in their work diaries

What we are looking for

You don’t need to have any experience of working with people with disabilities or baking.

Most importantly we are looking for people who are:

• Friendly, enthusiastic and approachable
• Supportive, patient and good communicators
• Committed, reliable and enjoy working as part of a team
• Have a positive and inclusive attitude towards disability

This is an extremely engaging and rewarding role where you will play a key part in enabling our young people to achieve their full potential!

Where and when

What will you gain from volunteering

• Enable young people with disabilities to become more independent

• Meet new people and make new friends
