Active Recovery offers a range of free activities in the community each week. It provides a safe and supportive space where people can try something fun, build up their confidence and socialise with others who have a shared understanding of their experience. We have over 60 members in our Active Recovery community, providing joy, connection, grounding, compassion, safety and the opportunity to learn new skills.
We offer weekly community-based activities for survivors of abuse for up to 18 months, to help them build self-confidence and peer support networks. Referrals need to be made by a professional and are open to people who have accessed counselling at the Southmead Project, SARSAS, Womankind or The Bridge SARC.
