Westonbirt is a busy visitor attraction and botanoical garden of trees with about 300 volunteers

Westonbirt Arboretum is one of the most beautiful and important plant collections in the world. With 15,000 specimens, and 2,500 species of tree from all over the world, the arboretum plays a vital part in research and conservation, as well as being a stunningly beautiful place to visit and explore rare, interesting and beautiful plants from the furthest corners of the globe.

 

Supprted by  the Friends of Westonbirt, who are a registered charity that was established to protect trees and enrich lives at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum. We’re committed to conservation, education and participation to help connect people with trees by supporting a wide range of activities at the arboretum, including:

- Caring for over 600 acres, including five national tree collections

- Providing educational activities for all ages

- Making the arboretum an accessible place for all to enjoy

- Supporting research into trees and their importance

- Raising awareness of the value of trees
