About
3rd year psychology student at the University of Bristol
ABOUT ME
I am a devoted and compassionate psychology student at the University of Bristol, currently focusing my dissertation on neurodiversity. My interest in this area is deeply personal, shaped by my own experience and a family background, which underscores my commitment to fostering understanding and inclusivity.
EXPERIENCE
Alongside my studies, I have practical experience working part-time as a supervisor in a charity shop, and have volunteered as a childminder for a child with special educational needs. I have also developed strong communication skills through 8 years of hospitality experience. I gained 4 weeks of direct experience volunteering for a Mental Health & Wellbeing project in Bali where I planned and delivered group sessions in schools and special needs facilities aimed at improving overall welfare. We tailored these workshops to accommodate a range of ages and different physical and cognitive abilities. This greatly broadened perspective on global mental health challenges and helped me build skills crucial for working with vulnerable individuals and groups.
I am eager to apply my knowledge, experience and empathy to a volunteer role to make a positive impact within the community.
