Join our community of bike recyclers and repairers, and enhance your maintenance skills along the way.
No experience necessary and no need to book.
Since starting with two friends working from a back garden in 2008, The Bristol Bike Project’s volunteers have turned 1000s of unwanted bikes into valuable transport for people from all walks of life.
Do you have some free time to add to our people power?
You will be fully supported and receive hands-on training and supervision from an experienced team. Reasonable travel expenses
can be claimed, and snacks are regularly provided.
Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds including professionals, students, retired people, refugees and asylum seekers. We are committed to increasing the number of women who volunteer.
We have daytime community sessions on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Volunteer evenings are on Tuesday and Wednesday.
If you are over 18, and keen to get started, see www.thebristolbikeproject.org/volunteer for details of session times and more information.
"You're contributing to the whole by fixing a small part of it - your involvement is part of a communal process to the end goal of getting the bike to someone." Curtis, Volunteer
