Are you passionate about reading and conversation?
We’re looking for a female volunteer to become a Reading Buddy for a woman living in a mental health service in Brislington. She has a sight impairment and would love someone to read to her and spend time chatting one-to-one.
What will you do?
• Read books, magazines, or other materials aloud
• Enjoy relaxed conversations and build a positive, supportive relationship
• Share stories and companionship in a calm, friendly environment
When?
Ideally, this would be a weekly or fortnightly role, during the day on weekdays. We’re happy to discuss what works best for you.

For all our volunteer roles a DBS check will be carried out and we will request two references. All volunteers will need to complete online volunteer training in preparation for your role. You will be supported by both the volunteer team and a designated member of staff in the service too.
