We’re looking for a male volunteer to spend time with a gentleman living in our mental health service in Brislington. He’s a big sports fan and would love someone to enjoy his favourite pastimes with.
What could you do together?
- Play a game of snooker
- Chat about football and watch matches in a local pub
- Talk cricket and catch a game together
- Support his team – Bristol Rovers!
- Enjoy trips out in the community
This role is perfect for someone who’s confident around people with mental health needs and enjoys relaxed, sociable activities. You don’t need to be an expert—just bring your enthusiasm and a friendly attitude.
When?
Ideally weekly or fortnightly during the day on weekdays or weekends, but we’re flexible and happy to work around you.
What’s in it for you?
- Make a real difference to someone’s life
- Share your love of sports and socialising
- Full training and ongoing support provided
- Travel expenses covered for each volunteering shift
If you’re easy-going, patient, and enjoy football, cricket, or just good conversation, we’d love to hear from you!
