Thanks to Brigstowe Volunteers!
Our peer mentor volunteers give their time using their own experience to help others who have either been recently diagnosed with HIV, or struggling with an aspect of their diagnosis. Volunteers provide a much needed safe space where people feel accepted & understood living with a long term health condition. The mentors support people to set goals for themselves in relation to managing their condition, and support them to meet these goals. They become a listening ear and a cheer leader for the person living with the long term health condition.

Thanks to Jubilee Swimming pool volunteers!
Working from home has its advantages but can be lonely. I've made some great friends from swimming at jubilee and without the volunteers, the pool would have closed. A BIG thank you xx

They have generously volunteered their time and expertise to help other people live better with diabetes. They have supported, encouraged, inspired, comforted, shared, laughed, informed, and commiserated, all with humour and empathy. They have done such an amazing job this last year, and will be so sadly missed when the project closes.

Thanks to Library Comic Club volunteers!
I'd like to thank the Comics Club volunteers for their long-term dedication, their creativity with coming up with amazing sessions sessions, and their flexibility with dealing with the inevitable chaos of getting groups of children to focus on something after school! Seeing these volunteers in action puts a smile on my face and reminds me what it's all about
From Paul, Bristol Libraries
Thanks to Kaz!
Kaz has brought dedication and flexibility to helping run the online groups. He's very quickly built a rapport with members of the groups, holding the space, responding thoughtfully to what participants bring, and being unflappable when anything goes wrong. He's also stepped up to creating session plans, even for sessions he can't make it to, which has been very helpful and shows thoughtfulness and creativity. He is also very punctual and reliable, with great communication, skills, which helps enormously. All in, he's taken some strain from the team, and added value to the groups - a pleasure to have around.
From Paul, Bristol Libraries

A huge thank you for each of your contribution to the Thursday farm group. Thank you for your warm, friendly welcome to new faces, mucking out even when it's smelly, chatting to the public about the animals; helping with tea at break times; supporting each other; creating such a sociable, positive vibe, and being kind and caring to the animals and each other. I am sure if animals could write, they would thank you too (baa, moo quack!). I relish my Thursday mornings witnessing your support for each other, your connections grow, and working with you as a team to care for the city farm animals.
