What we do

Abbeyfield Bristol and Keynsham Society is a not-for-profit charity, providing supported retirement housing for independent older people at affordable, fully-inclusive rates, and offering the very highest standards of accommodation, comfort, security, companionship and support.

Our houses and our residents

We have five houses offering supported retirement living in lovely surroundings in and around Bristol – in Redland, Henleaze, Easter Compton, Hanham and Keynsham.

Residents are encouraged to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible, and they enjoy a great balance of privacy and involvement in the life of the house, free from the stresses and strains of maintaining a property, the worries of coping alone, and the loneliness of isolation. New friendships, experiences and interests bring a new lease of life to our residents, and give them a fresh perspective at what can be a very vulnerable stage of their lives.

Our residents’ well-being lies at the very heart of everything we do - we consult with them continually, listen to them carefully and deliver effectively, to ensure we are fulfilling our promise to provide them with the very best possible quality of life.
