At our Dementia Meeting Centre in Bristol, we deliver support and activity sessions for people living with dementia and their care partners.
Purpose of the role
- To support meeting centre members with dementia and their carers to enjoy sessions
- Engage participants in chat & activities
- To help develop a warm and friendly meeting centre community
What you will be doing
- Welcoming members
- Helping staff set up and carry out activities
- Offering a friendly face and listening ear
- Making and serving refreshments
- Supporting people on trips and at events
- Giving people information about other services
- Helping clear away after sessions

Tuesdays and Thursdays - mornings or afternoons

Our expectations
- You feel comfortable being with older people, some of whom have mild to moderate dementia
- You are willing to learn about dementia
- You will attend Alive’s dementia training and other relevant training
- You are reliable and communicate your availability
- You agree to an enhanced DBS check
