We are looking for new volunteers to join friendly parks volunteer teams across Bristol to help us raise awareness of the importance of parks to young people through photos and stories.

The volunteers will be confident using Instagram (or be willing to self-teach). They will set up an account and curate content by collecting their own photos of their local park and regram-ing others taken by members of the community.

We hope that utlising a new social media platform will help us engage with a more diverse audience, particularly young people, which will help us to continue to protect Bristol's parks for future generations.

About Future Proof Parks - Bristol

Groundwork South is working in partnership with Bristol’s Friends of Park groups, to engage more young people aged 11-25 in their local parks. The project is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and is part of a national programme called Kick the Dust.

We are working with the National Youth Agency and Fields in Trust to provide training and mentoring for twelve Friends of Parks groups and young people between 2018-2021.
